ACADEMICS / NEVADA MILLENNIUM SCHOLARSHIP
To offset the cost of college tuition for worthy high-school students, the State of Nevada now offers a special scholarship program that applies to state-supported public institutions of higher education. Eligible high school students must meet specific criteria to receive this award, including a diploma from a Nevada public or private high school (2000 or later). The high school grade point average must be at least 3.0, all areas of the Nevada High School Proficiency Examination must be passed, and the students must have also maintained Nevada residency for at least two of their four high school years.
