Registration requirements in Nebraska and Iowa include a certified birth certificate, the child’s social security number, any applicable custody papers, proof of residence, and a current immunization record that has been signed by a physician. A physical exam may also be required. Nebraska sets the cutoff date for kindergarten registration as five years old on or before October 15 of the enrollment year. In Iowa, the cutoff date is September 15.
