TAX & LICENSE / VOTER RESOURCES

To register to vote in Colorado, you must be at least 18 years of age before the next election and a U.S. citizen. You must also be a resident of your county and a resident of the voting precinct for at least 32 days prior to the next election date. Registration is permanent unless you change your name, address, or political party affiliation. Change in political party affiliation must be made 29 days prior to the primary election, and voters who want to participate in the precinct party caucuses must be affiliated with the party for two months. Colorado offers the convenience of voter registration in conjunction with vehicle registration or driver licensing. Newcomers can also complete this registration at the office of any city and town clerk or the county election department.
