DEMOGRAPHICS / CLIMATE

The Greater Atlanta region experiences four distinct seasons. However, extreme temperatures never linger long. Light cottons and knits are comfortable for the warmer summer months, although a jacket or sweater may be needed for cooler evenings. Spring, with its abundance of flowers and late fall, with its auburn leaves call for slightly heavier clothing. Winter in Atlanta often brings cold, windy air, and more rain than usual. Ice and snow are rare throughout the region, but may occasionally appear in January or February.
